                                   JULY 2016 NEWSLETTER

Ashley and Stephanie presenting their Titan Reloading 4th of July Parade Float

This 4th Of July celebrate and reflect on the fact that we are the “last bastion of freedom on earth”. For this reason we must not focus on our differences, but rather, join together and preserve the USA as our Founders designed it. Our freedoms are not free and will be lost if good people do nothing to uphold it. Teach our youth about the country we grew up in. This is no longer a part of schools curriculum, having been replaced by diversity. Our kids know very little about the freedoms we take for granted. We must ALL teach them.

We are truly enjoying all the friends we have made through Titan Reloading and look forward to many more. Feel free to contact us. When possible, please email us rather than call. Due to our limited phone system and staff we are able to respond to your questions quicker via email. Please include your full name or order ID number with any order inquiries. Service and Support is our top priority. As always, you will find many answers to questions in the “FAQ” and “Help Videos” areas of our website www.titanreloading.com . Check us out on Google+ and Facebook .

FEATURED PRODUCT:

LEE CARBIDE or STEEL PISTOL 3 DIE SETS

Lee Carbide 3 Die Set

Lee uses a solid carbide insert, ground to a special contour that does not leave the objectionable belt mark on the case, common to ordinary carbide dies. With a carbide sizer, no case lube is needed, and you don’t even have to clean your cases.

No need for a taper crimp die, plus better accuracy with Lee dies. Taper crimp dies are used to correct the problems caused by the improper expanding plug design or adjustment. They distort the bullet shank and reduce accuracy. Because the Lee Expander flares the minimum amount, consistent with easy bullet insertion, all of the flare is removed with the bullet seating die, thus eliminating the need for a taper crimp die. The Bullet Seating Die is an adjustable crimp from slight taper to full roll.

Lee Carbide Dies

Lee Steel 3 Die Sets have the same features as the premium carbide sets, except the case must be lubricated

Lee supplies what you need, and what you want!

Lee Reloading Supplies

Lee has started millions in the fun and profitable hobby of reloading. Lee Precision is the only company that sells tools and dies with individualized instructions and load data. Every die set (except RGB Dies) has an instruction and data sheet specifically for that caliber.

Lee Precision

Lee carbide dies are contour ground to provide step-less sizing. After sizing a case, except for the burnish, you cannot tell where the sizer stopped. Other brands leave a pronounced step where the die stops. Designed for progressive loading. Each die has an enlarged mouth to dependably align even range damaged cases. They are built to last for the large volume reloader.

A free shell holder is included with every set.

INSIGHT OF THE MONTH:

Interchangeable Dies

Frequently, dies from one caliber may be used to load other calibers. Due to the locations of crimping shoulders and expander plug lengths, the operation will only work for dies of the shorter caliber to the longer caliber. In example, to load .357 Magnum cartridges with .38 Special dies, the Sizing Die (1st die) setting stays the same for both calibers. The Powder Through Expanding Die (2nd die) and the Bullet Seating Die (3rd die) must be backed out approximately 2 turns for the .357 Magnum. This is the difference in length from the .38 Special to the .357 Magnum. This setting must be tweaked in as 2 turn is approximate.

Even though some dies are interchangeable, in many cases, different shell holders are necessary. You can see a complete list of shellholders under “Case Preparation” then “Shellholders and Calibers”.

45 Colt – 454 Casull *
44 Special – 44 Magnum
38 Special – 357 Magnum
30-30 Winchester – 30 Remington
357 Magnum – 357 Maximum
38 Super – 9mm Largo
44 Russian – 44 Special
40 Smith & Wesson – 10mm – 41 Action Express
32 Smith & Wesson – 32 S&W Long – 32 H&R Magnum **-.327 Fed Magnum

*The 45 Colt expander die will also work for the 454 Casull by backing the die out approximately two turns to compensate for the difference in case length.

**Lee dies allow the use of .308 bullets in the 32 H&R Magnum. The other bullet diameter commonly used is .311 and that is the expander that comes with the set. To use .308 bullets, it is necessary to purchase an additional expander and turn it down to .308. This can be done using a drill press and emery cloth
