Auto Prime Loose Cover

Auto Prime Loose Cover

After much use, you may find that the clear plastic cover does not fit snugly on to the primer tray. If this occurs, a quick home remedy is to place a couple of pieces of scotch tape on the top rim of the primer tray. This causes there to be less space between the cover and the rim of the primer tray which should result in a tighter fit for the cover.

Another option is to bend a paper clip and drop the bent edge through one of the holes on the clear plastic cover where it attaches to the primer tray. This prevents the cover from backing up during priming and lining up with the tabs on the primer tray which is how the cover is removed.
